The Rooms

In the main building, there are 7 rooms in the attic; 5 single rooms with shared bathroom in corridor, 1 double room with shared bathroom in corridor and 1 double room with private bathroom. There is also a kitchenette in the attic for everyone to use. It is also possible to rent a room in a building a few hundred meters further down the road. The rooms are numbered from the left and are named after the most striking mountain or rock formation visible from the room.

Room 1 – Tindfjellet

  • Single room with shared bathroom in corridor
  • Possible to get extra bed

  • Named after Nygårdstinden or Tindfjellet (386 m.) lying closest to the lodge which has also given rise the name of the lodge.

Room 2 – Steinskaret

  • Single room with shared bathroom in corridor
  • Table, chair, chest, mirror, painted green
  • Named after the mountain Steinskarfjellet (423 m.) lying north of Tindfjellet

Room 3 – Leigas

  • Single room with shared bathroom in corridor
  • Possible to get extra bed
  • Table, chair, chest, mirror, painted blue
  • Named after the mountain Leigas or Læigastind (1332 m.) lying north of the lodge between Vassdalen and Gratangen. Vassdalen lies behind the mountain Kopparfjellet.

Room 4 – Kopparfjellet

  • Single room with shared bathroom in corridor
  • Table, chair, chest, mirror, painted in light color
  • Named after the mountain Kopparfjellet (911 m.) lying northeast of the lodge. Fishing is possible in the lakes by the mountain.

Room 5 – Haugfjell

  • Single room with shared bathroom in corridor
  • Table, chair, chest, mirror, painted green
  • Named after the big, flat mountain Haugfjell (824 m.) lying northeast of the lodge. Hunting possibilities.

Room 6 – Sildviktind

  • Double room with private bathroom and shower
  • Possible to get extra beds
  • Sofa, table, chairs, chest, mirror, painted in light color
  • Named after the mountain Sildviktinden (1360 m.) lying behind and southeast of Haugfjell. The mountain lies south of Rombaken or Rombaksfjorden.

Room 7 – Tøtta

  • Double room with shared bathroom in corridor. Later, there will be a private bathroom.

  • Named after the massive mountain Tøtta which can be seen through the window. Tøtta consists of the two peaks Beisfjordtøtta (1448 m.) and Rombakstøtta (1234 m.) separated by the plateau Njeknanjunni.
