Kopparfjellet – 911 meters, easy hike, 500 m acclivity, 7 kms
Nice hike with a lot of flowers and a great/wonderful view over the fjords. Can be made into a half day trip, but then it is not certain that we walk all the way to the top.
Stora ølturen/Katerat rundt – 20 kms, moderate acclivity
A Swedish classic! A beautiful hike with cultural glimpses from the Rallar-age. We go from Bjørnfjell, around the mountain and then to Riksgränsen, following a track. Along this route, we will pass several sights which descend from the building of the railway. The trip goes through great mountain terrain with a number of nice peaks. From a vantage point we can even see the fjord!
Kerkevagge – 12 kms, 300 m acclivity
A wonderful valley full of flowers and large boulders. The trip goes to the lake Trollsjøen farthest into the valley, which has the clearest water in northern Europe. There is a lot of lime in the ground and many beautiful flowers. The valley has also got an interesting geology. Easy hike following a track.
Vassdalsfjellet – 852 m, easy hike, 650 m acclivity, 10 kms
Easy hike with great view, most of all following a track. The trip starts in a nice mountain birch forest and continues through marshland. The hike ends on the top of the mountain!
Rombak Station, Beisfjord – Easy hike, 10 km, moderate acclivity
We take the train from Narvik to Rombak station and climb the mountain on our way to Beisfjord. An easy walk among mountains, fjords and waterfalls.
NB! Train and taxi will cost extra.
Rombakstøtta – 1230 m, difficult hike, 1000 m climb, 16 kms
A classic in Narvik! The route follows a track, but towards the end there will be some scrambling/easy climbing. This is a challenging and time-consuming hike, but it is well worth it!
Maximum 4 particpants can get a ride with the mountain guide and it is possible for up to 12 persons if extra transport is arranged. There is a number of other wandering possibilities which can be arranged on request. Most of the hikes are described in the book: «På tur i Narvik og omegn».
Transport and lunch price will be given on request.
