By visiting Tinja Mountain Lodge, you’ll get a memorable experience. You can start your visit in the lavvu or the wine cellar, with an aperitif accompanied by a historical review about the lodge. Continue your day at the mountain lodge in our light yard, with crackling log fire in the background. Here, you can enjoy our menu – with a possibility of up to 10 dishes – and corresponding wine pairing. Regularly, our kitchen receives very positive feedbacks and Tinja’s good reputation is our most important marketing.
In our light yard, you can enjoy a delicious dinner in front of the fireplace or the oven, watching an ice cold, raging blizzard or a starry sky with northern lights on the other side of the window. You can also enjoy your meal in our living room, with an open fireplace by your side.
Our restaurant has a capacity of approximately 80 guests. If necessary, it can be divided into three parts if there are several smaller companies at once. The restaurant also has a separate area (chambre separé) – the « Beretstua »– with room for 8 persons.

Ordering/booking information
- To be able to plan our staffing and raw material supply, you should make your booking at least 24 hours ahead of your visit. Still, you’re welcome to contact us at shorter notice as it is often possible to receive additional guests simultaneously with other visiting groups.
- We have no lower limit to the number of guests. If you are few people making a booking, we might have to combine your visit with other smaller groups of guests.
- During the café days, we initially only receive orders during the opening hours (12-17 pm). If a gourmet dinner is desired later than this, we prefer a number of 10 guests and also that you arrive no later than 16 pm.
